Shiji Expands Global Distribution Reach for Japanese Hotels through Partnership with JR Systems’ Rakutsu with

New integration connects Japanese hotels to 300+ international travel partners, advancing inbound tourism through secure, guest-centric technology

(JR Systems), a company of the Japan Railway Group, to integrate its Horizon Distribution platform with JR Systems’ channel manager Rakutsu with (らく通/楽通). This collaboration enables hotels across Japan to seamlessly distribute rates, inventory, and room plans to 300+ travel agencies and OTAs worldwide, with a strong presence across Asia.

This integration marks a significant step forward in enabling Japanese accommodation providers, including business hotel chains, traditional ryokan, and independent properties, to connect with international travelers through a centralized, efficient, and secure distribution ecosystem.

Rakutsu with is designed to help hotels centrally manage reservations, inventory, and pricing across multiple booking channels. Through its “common sales function,” hotels can register room types and plans once and distribute them across multiple travel agencies and OTAs. By integrating with Shiji’s Horizon Distribution, this functionality now extends globally, allowing hotels to maintain consistent data while reducing the risk of overbooking and improving operational efficiency.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment between Shiji and JR Systems to support the continued growth of inbound tourism to Japan by providing scalable, technology-driven solutions that simplify distribution complexity.
